An act to amend Section 14835 of the Government Code, relating to state government.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2521, as introduced, Petrie-Norris. Small Business Procurement and Contract Act.

The Small Business Procurement and Contract Act requires the Director of General Services and the heads of other state agencies that enter into contracts for the acquisition of goods, services, and information technology and for the construction of state facilities to, among other things, establish goals for the participation of small businesses and microbusinesses in these contracts.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the provision naming the act.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 Section 14835 of the Government Code is amended to read:

14835.

 This chapter shall be known known, and may be cited cited, as the Small Business Procurement and Contract Act.
