An act to amend Section 32002.33 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to health care districts.

Local Health Care District Law: formation of district.
Existing law, the Local Health Care District Law, provides for the organization, incorporation, and management of a local hospital district, which may exercise certain granted and implied powers. Existing law also sets forth the manner of formation of local hospital districts, as specified. Existing law requires election officials to select an argument for printing and distribution to voters if more than one argument for or more than one argument against a proposed district formation is filed, as specified.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to those provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 32002.33 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:32002.33.
If more than one argument for or more than one argument against the proposed district formation is filed with the election officials within the time prescribed,In selecting the arguments, the election officials shall give preference and priority in the order named to the arguments of the following:
(a) The board of supervisors or any member or members of the board authorized by the board.
(b) Individual voters or bona fide associations of citizens or a combination of such voters and associations.
