BILL NUMBER: SB 636 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Ashburn FEBRUARY 27, 2009 An act to amend Section 33000 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to redevelopment. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 636, as introduced, Ashburn. Redevelopment. The Community Redevelopment Law authorizes the establishment of redevelopment agencies for the purpose of protecting and promoting the sound development and redevelopment of blighted areas, as defined. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change in that law. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 33000 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read: 33000. This part shall be known and may be cited as the Community Redevelopment Law.
