AN ACT REDUCING THE OCCUPANCY TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 12-408 and 12-411 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the tax on hotel and lodging house occupancy and transfer of occupancy from fifteen per cent to the prior rate of twelve per cent.

Statement of Purpose:

To promote tourism in the state by reducing the tax on hotel and lodging house occupancy and transfer of occupancy from fifteen per cent to the prior rate of twelve per cent.
