AN ACT EXEMPTING RESIDENT ESTATES FROM THE ESTATE TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 217 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the estate tax for the estates of persons who at the time of death were residents of this state.

Statement of Purpose:

To exempt resident estates from the estate tax.
