AN ACT ENCOURAGING THE HIRING OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the state to fund one-half of the salary of any person who has been (1) hired by a business employing not more than forty-nine persons, and (2) on public assistance not less than one year.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide incentives to move people off public assistance and into paying jobs.
