AN ACT CONCERNING COMMUNITY RESOURCE OFFICERS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide funding, within available appropriations, for Community Resource Officers, who shall be local police officers assigned to patrol elementary schools during hours in which the schools are in session.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide funding for enhanced security at elementary schools.
