AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF STATE CASH ASSISTANCE FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALCOHOL AND ADULT ENTERTAINMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapters 319s and 319t of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of electronic benefit transfer cards issued by the Department of Social Services at adult entertainment venues or to purchase alcohol.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent recipients of state financial assistance from using that assistance to buy alcohol or adult entertainment.
