AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF HOSPICE CARE IN SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to study means of ensuring that the provision of hospice care services in skilled nursing facilities is similar in quality to the provision of hospice care services in hospice facilities.

Statement of Purpose:

To identify means to provide hospice care in skilled nursing facilities that is similar to the hospice care provided in hospice facilities.
