As introduced, this bill requires the Mayor to transmit a written report to the Council prior to selling District land. The report must describe the difference between the proposed sales price of the land and the market value of the land. In addition, the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development must transmit a quarterly report to the Council that includes information about the number of affordable units created through the disposal of the property, the status of First Source and Certified Business Enterprise agreements, disposition agreements entered into, and evaluation results for each proposal received after a solicitation. Renamed by Committee to "Land Disposition Transparency and Clarification Amendment Act of 2016." Incorporated provisions from Bill 21-10 "Fairness in Public Engagement During Sale of Public Lands Amendment Act of 2015" and 21-710 "Surplus of District Land Clarification Amendment Act of 2016."
