Summary

As introduced, this bill establishes the District of Columbia State Athletic Association (DCSAA) and requires the DCSAA to consolidate (through the Office of the State Superintendent for Education) all administrative and operational functions associated with school-based athletic programs in the District. It also specifies the membership of the DCSAA Board, term limits and succession of members, and the oversight and management responsibility of the DCSAA. The bill specifies that the Mayor is permitted to issue rules to implement its provisions.
