Summary

As introduced, this bill amends an act that addresses the issue of worker protections when an employer does not fully compensate an employee for work performed. It clarifies that the Office of Administrative Hearings has jurisdiction over all administrative hearings. It also includes changes to business record keeping protocol and access. It amends the minimum wage law notice requirements by allowing electronic acknowledgement from an employee to be sufficient. Among other things, it attempts to put lower limits on the amount of attorney fees that a prevailing plaintiff may be awarded.
