Summary

RE-REFERRAL - Sequentially referred to the Committee on the Judiciary and then the Committee of the Whole, Subcommittee on Workforce. As introduced, this bill clarifies the authority of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to enforce laws regarding wages in the District of Columbia. It also establishes subpoena power and rulemaking authority for the OAG regarding wage law violations. It allows for the recovery of reasonable attorney's fees and costs from employers that have illegally withheld wages due to District workers.
