Summary

Provides for calculation of damages for certain medical or health care services paid or owed by claimant or governmental or commercial insurance payor; provides that individual contracts between providers & licensed commercial insurers or licensed HMOs are not subject to discovery or disclosure & not admissible in certain actions; provides that amount of lien or subrogation claim asserted by Medicaid, Medicare, or payor regulated under Florida Insurance Code for certain past medical expenses, in addition to amount of copayments or deductibles payable by claimant, is maximum amount recoverable & admissible into evidence; provides applicability.
