Amend
the Senate Education and Youth Committee substitute to HB 797 (LC 33 4758S) by
inserting after
"article."
on line 90 the following:
The
commission shall not approve or renew a charter petition for a state charter
school which is proposed to be managed by a private for profit management
company. In the event that a charter petition for a state charter school
proposes to be managed by a private nonprofit management company, the charter
petitioner shall make public the amount to be paid to such private nonprofit
management company for the operation of such state charter school prior to
approval by the commission.
