RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Julie Jordan for outstanding contributions to education in
the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Julie Jordan is a highly respected language arts and American literature
teacher at Chattooga County High School; and
WHEREAS,
her contributions and achievements have been recognized by her selection as
Chattooga County's Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Ms. Julie Jordan has, during her teaching career, exemplified the
selfless dedication and professionalism which are characteristic of our finest
educators; and
WHEREAS,
she is known at the local, state, and national levels for the amazing talent she
brings out in her students; and
WHEREAS,
in addition to being named Chattooga County's Teacher of the Year, Ms. Julie
Jordan is a finalist in the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition;
and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that this body join in expressing appreciation to Ms. Julie
Jordan for her outstanding efforts and accomplishments in professional
education.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that Ms. Julie Jordan
is hereby recognized, commended, and congratulated upon her selection as Teacher
of the Year; and gratitude is expressed for the great credit this fine educator
reflects upon Chattooga County and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Julie
Jordan.
