Summary
Amends law to require that the state historic preservation officer be appointed from a list of at least three nominees submitted by the board of land and natural resources; requires that the list of nominees be developed in consultation with the appropriate Native Hawaiian and historic preservation organizations; establishes qualifications of the officer that meet those of the Secretary of Interior; effective 7/1/2040. (SD1)
