A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO STATE DEPARTMENTS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 201-8, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "§201-8  Recommendations to [agencies.] state departments.  On the basis of submitted reports and [such] other information as the department of business, economic development, and tourism may obtain, [it] the department may, as it deems it desirable for the best coordination and effectiveness of economic development activities in the State, make recommendations in writing to any [agency] department of the state government[.] , subject to legislative oversight."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
