  1  1    Section 1.  Section 123.187, subsection 2, paragraph c, Code
  1  2 2015, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    c.  An application submitted pursuant to paragraph "a"
  1  4 shall also be accompanied by a bond in the amount of five
  1  5 thousand dollars in the form prescribed and furnished by the
  1  6 division with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by
  1  7 the division conditioned upon compliance with this chapter.
  1  8 However, a wine manufacturer that has submitted a bond pursuant
  1  9 to section 123.175, subsection 3, shall not be required to
  1 10 provide a bond as provided in this paragraph.
  1 11                           EXPLANATION
  1 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 13 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 14    This bill provides that a wine manufacturer that has
  1 15 submitted a bond pursuant to Code section 123.175, subsection
  1 16 3, in an application for a class "A" wine permit shall not be
  1 17 required to also provide a bond in an application for a wine
  1 18 direct shipper license under Code section 123.187.
