Summary

Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Prohibits a Representative from serving more than 12 total years. Prohibits a Senator from serving more than 12 total years. Proposes to amend the Executive Article of the Illinois Constitution. Prohibits an executive branch officer from serving more than 3 consecutive terms in the same executive branch office. Effective upon being declared adopted. Applies to the election of General Assembly members beginning in the first general election that occurs after that date.
