HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Illinois State Representative Monique Davis and
3the members of the Illinois House of Representatives recognize
4that Mother's Day is celebrated nationally on Sunday, May 8,
52011; and
6 WHEREAS, Every mother wants her child to succeed; and
7 WHEREAS, A child's parents are the foremost authority in
8the needs of the child; and
9 WHEREAS, Every day, mothers and grandmothers stand up for
10the rights of their children and advocate for their needs; and
11 WHEREAS, Many of these parents and grandparents come to
12Springfield to advocate on behalf of legislation that supports
13their children's rights; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16we designate May 5, 2011 as "Moms on a Mission Day" in the
17State of Illinois to honor mothers, grandmothers, and their
18families who stand up for children's rights; and be it further
19 RESOLVED, That we welcome the mothers and grandmothers
