HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on
the occasion of his retirement from the Zion Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, Chief Henderson graduated from Illinois State
University in 1987, the Northwestern University Center for
Public Safety in 2007, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation
National Academy in 2014; and
WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has served the Zion Police
Department since April 1992; he has held various positions
within the department, including patrol officer, school
resource officer, detective, corporal/sergeant, lieutenant,
and deputy chief; and
WHEREAS, Chief Henderson has been a dedicated public
servant to the Zion community for nearly 30 years, and he has
made significant contributions to the quality and progress of
the Zion Police Department; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
congratulate Chief Kirk Henderson on his retirement from the

future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Chief Henderson as an expression of our esteem
and respect.
