Bill Title: Amends the Chicago Firefighters Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, beginning in calendar year 2011 and in each odd-numbered year thereafter, the board must prepare a report for inclusion in its annual audit specifying the annual cost of duty disability to the fund.

AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing | ||||
Section 1-118 as follows:

(40 ILCS 5/1-118)
| ||||
Sec. 1-118. Veterans' rights. | ||||
(a) All pension funds and retirement systems
subject to | ||||
this Code shall comply with the requirements imposed on them by | ||||
the
federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment | ||||
Rights Act (P.L.
103-353).
| ||||
(b) All pension funds and retirement systems subject to | ||||
this Code shall comply with the federal Heroes Earnings | ||||
Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-245). | ||||

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||
