Bill Title: Amends the Chicago Firefighters Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, beginning in calendar year 2011 and in each odd-numbered year thereafter, the board must prepare a report for inclusion in its annual audit specifying the annual cost of duty disability to the fund.

AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing
Section 1-118 as follows:
(40 ILCS 5/1-118)
Sec. 1-118. Veterans' rights.
(a) All pension funds and retirement systems subject to
this Code shall comply with the requirements imposed on them by
the federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment
Rights Act (P.L. 103-353).
(b) All pension funds and retirement systems subject to
this Code shall comply with the federal Heroes Earnings
Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-245).

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
