Bill Title: Amends the Chicago Firefighters Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, beginning in calendar year 2011 and in each odd-numbered year thereafter, the board must prepare a report for inclusion in its annual audit specifying the annual cost of duty disability to the fund.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing | ||||||
5 | Section 1-118 as follows:

6 | (40 ILCS 5/1-118)
| ||||||
7 | Sec. 1-118. Veterans' rights. | ||||||
8 | (a) All pension funds and retirement systems
subject to | ||||||
9 | this Code shall comply with the requirements imposed on them by | ||||||
10 | the
federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment | ||||||
11 | Rights Act (P.L.
103-353).

12 | (b) All pension funds and retirement systems subject to | ||||||
13 | this Code shall comply with the federal Heroes Earnings | ||||||
14 | Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-245). | ||||||
