| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Roy J. Mennenga of Gifford, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on December 27, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Roy Mennenga was born on December 24, 1935 in | ||||||
| 6 | Urbana; his parents were John and Hattie (nee Rosenback) | ||||||
| 7 | Mennenga; he married LouAnn Schluter on January 18, 1959 in | ||||||
| 8 | Gifford; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Roy Mennenga started working at George's Gas | ||||||
| 10 | Service in Rantoul; he worked as a custodian and bus driver for | ||||||
| 11 | Flatville schools and as a bus driver in Gifford for over 40 | ||||||
| 12 | years; he also farmed all his life in the Gifford area; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Roy Mennenga was a member of the Gifford German | ||||||
| 14 | Fall Festival Committee and the Immanuel Lutheran Church; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Roy Mennenga was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 16 | and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Roy Mennenga is survived by his wife, LouAnn; 3 | ||||||
| 18 | children, Linda (Kevin) Wolken, Kevin (Sherri) Mennenga, and | ||||||
| 19 | Janet Mennenga; 5 grandchildren, Kurt Wolken, Heather Johnson, | ||||||
| 20 | Keaton Mennenga, Haley Mennenga, and Hanna Mennenga; and 3 | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 4 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Roy J. Mennenga; and | ||||||
| 5 | be it further

| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Roy Mennenga as an expression of our | ||||||
