Summary

Defines "abandoned real property" for the purpose of a tax sale as real property that: (1) has failed to sell in three tax sales conducted by the county treasurer; (2) has failed to sell in three sales conducted by the county executive; and (3) for which no person having a substantial property interest of public record in the real property has declared that the real property is not abandoned in defense of the judgment against the real property. Provides that if real property is certified by a county executive as abandoned real property, the county executive may sell the real property and the purchaser may immediately acquire a tax deed for the abandoned real property.
