Summary

Requiring the State Board of Elections, in collaboration with the local boards of elections, to conduct an audit of absentee ballots cast in each statewide election; requiring that the audit consist of verifying the voter's signature for each ballot selected for audit; requiring that the audit be expanded if a certain threshold is exceeded; and requiring the State Board to adopt certain regulations that include the method for verifying voter signatures and a deadline for submission of a new signature as provided under the Act.
