SENATE BILL NO. 922

referred to the Committee on Natural Resources.
A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
by amending section 82123 (MCL 324.82123), as added by 1995 PA 58.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 82123. (1) A person operating
or riding on a snowmobile shall wear a crash helmet on his or her head. Crash helmets shall be approved
by the United States department
of transportation. This section Department of Transportation.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a either of the following:
(a) A person riding on or operating a snowmobile on his or her own private
property.
(b) A
person who possesses a written verification from a physician that the person,
for physical or medical reasons, is unable to wear a helmet.
