1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. [1.1465] STATE MAMMAL.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Black bear. The black bear, Ursus americanus, is the official
1.7mammal of the state of Minnesota.
1.8    Subd. 2. Photograph. A photograph of the black bear shall be preserved in the
1.9Office of the Secretary of State.
