1.2relating to local government; providing for terms for members of the Red Wing
1.3Port Authority;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 469.081, by adding a
1.4subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 469.081, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 3a. Terms of members. Notwithstanding the enabling resolution or section
1.9469.050, subdivision 4, the term length for an appointee to the Red Wing Port Authority
1.10for a term beginning on or after January 1, 2011, shall be three years.
1.11 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.
1.12Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of the city of Red Wing and
1.13its chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2
1.14and 3, and applies retroactively to all terms beginning on or after January 1, 2011.
