Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-19-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize Local School Districts To Compensate Individuals Who Are Employed In A Full-time Instructional Capacity With Relevant Content-specific Experience And Assistant Teachers Who Become Licensed Teachers Up To An Amount That Is Equivalent To The Salary Scale For Licensed Teachers, As Determined By Allocating One And One-half Years Of Comparable Classroom Experience For Every Two Years Of Relevant Experience The Individual Possesses Before Becoming Employed By The School District Or Years Of Service Provided As An Assistant Teacher Before Becoming A Licensed Teacher; And For Related Purposes.
