A HOUSE RESOLUTION to repeal executive order 85 relating to the creation of a department of management and administration.

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

SECTION 1.  Executive Order No. 85, dated March 25, 2011, and entitled "CONSOLIDATION AND REORGANIZATION OF EXECUTIVE BRANCH AGENCIES TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF STATE GOVERNMENT" is repealed pursuant to Section 5 of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution, in part, as follows:

(1)        The General Assembly disapproves the provisions of Section 4 of the Executive Order to create the Department of Management and Administration.

(2)        Portions of the Executive Order that are not inconsistent with this repeal may go into effect and become law unless rescinded by the Governor or otherwise disapproved by the General Assembly.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
