A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to exempt the venturePrise Center and the MANUFACTURING solutions center at catawba Valley community college from the umstead act.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1. The provisions of G.S. 66‑58 do not apply to the VenturePrise Center or the Manufacturing Solutions Center at Catawba Valley Community College. The VenturePrise Center is a business solutions catalyst and value‑added conduit for educational and training support services for Western North Carolina. The Manufacturing Solutions Center provides concept through design, production, distribution, marketing, expansion, and other solutions for business clients.

SECTION 2. This act applies only to Catawba Valley Community College.

SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law.
