A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the board of governors of the university of north carolina for the school of dental medicine at east carolina university.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) in recurring funds for the 2011‑2012 fiscal year to be allocated to East Carolina University to be used for the support and operating expenses of the School of Dental Medicine.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) in recurring funds for the 2012‑2013 fiscal year to be allocated to East Carolina University to be used for the support and operating expenses of the School of Dental Medicine.  These funds are in addition to the funds appropriated by Section 1 of this act.

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2011.
