A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT providing that the department of commerce shall allocate funds directly to anson county for economic development projects.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Of the funds appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Commerce (Department) for the 2013‑2015 biennium to be allocated to the Charlotte Regional Partnership (Partnership), a regional economic development commission, to be shared by its member counties, the Department shall allocate Anson County's share of the funds directly to the County instead of to the Partnership. Anson County shall maintain the funds allocated under this section in an account separate from all other county funds, and the funds shall be used only for economic development projects.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2013.
