A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to provide that a list of the e‑mail addresses of persons subscribing to e‑mail lists kept by the town of huntersville are open to public inspection but are not required to be provided, and to provide that the local government may use that list only for the purpose that it was subscribed to.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Section 3 of S.L. 2010‑83 reads as rewritten:

"SECTION 3.  This act applies only to Wake County, the City of Raleigh, and the Towns of Apex, Cary, Fuquay‑Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Huntersville, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Zebulon, and to Yadkin County."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
