HOUSE BILL 1326

 

AN ACT prohibiting the general court from filing legislation in the second year of the session.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill declares that it is the intent of the members of the general court to amend the rules of the house and senate to eliminate the filing of proposals for new legislation in the second year of the legislative session.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT prohibiting the general court from filing legislation in the second year of the session.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Filing of Legislation in the Second Year of Legislative Session; Intent of the General Court.  The members of the house of representatives and senate hereby direct that the rules of the house and senate to be adopted on organization day on December 6, 2016 be amended to exclude the provisions for the filing of requests for new legislation to be drafted for the second year of the legislative session.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
