        AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to making a technical
          correction to the designation of the animal shelter regulation fund

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 99-pp of the state finance law, as
     2  added by chapter 683 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows:
     3    3. Monies of the fund shall be expended solely  for  the  purposes  of
     4  carrying  out  the provisions of article twenty-six-C of the agriculture
     5  and markets law. Monies shall be paid out of the fund on the  audit  and
     6  warrant of the state comptroller on vouchers approved by the commission-
     7  er  of agriculture and markets. Any interest received by the comptroller
     8  on monies on deposit in the [pet dealer licensing] animal shelter  regu-
     9  lation fund shall be retained in and become part of such fund.
    10    §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
    11  manner as section 9 of chapter 683 of the laws of 2022 takes effect.
