This act shall be known and may be cited as "Alice's Law". 2 S 2. Section 176.15 of the penal law, as amended by chapter 515 of the 3 laws of 1986, is amended to read as follows: 4 S 176.15 Insurance fraud in the fourth degree. 5 A person is guilty of insurance fraud in the fourth degree when he OR 6 SHE commits a fraudulent insurance act and: 7 (A) thereby wrongfully takes, obtains or withholds, or attempts to 8 wrongfully take, obtain or withhold property with a value in excess of 9 one thousand dollars; OR 10 (B) OPERATES A MOTOR VEHICLE AND INTENTIONALLY CAUSES OR ATTEMPTS TO 11 CAUSE A COLLISION INVOLVING A MOTOR VEHICLE. 12 Insurance fraud in the fourth degree is a class E felony. 13 S 3.
