        Introduced  by Sen. KAMINSKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
        AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
          providing Long Island residents with water usage information
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The environmental conservation law is amended by  adding  a
     2  new section 15-1530 to read as follows:
     3  § 15-1530. Long Island water usage information.
     4    Beginning  on  the  first of January, two thousand eighteen, in Nassau
     5  and Suffolk counties, all water purveyors, either public or private,  or
     6  a  water  authority,  with ten thousand or more customers, shall include
     7  water usage information along with customer bills. Such  usage  informa-
     8  tion shall be specified in gallons and at a minimum include:
     9    1. information on year to date usage;
    10    2. a seasonal comparison; and
    11    3. last year's usage for the same time period.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
