       Introduced  by  Sen. KENNEDY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions
       AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to extending  binding
         arbitration
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 4 of section 209 of the  civil
    2  service  law,  as  amended  by section 9 of part A of chapter 504 of the
    3  laws of 2009, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (d) The provisions of this subdivision shall expire [thirty-six  years
    5  from  July  first, nineteen hundred seventy-seven] JULY FIRST, TWO THOU-
    6  SAND SEVENTEEN, and hereafter may be renewed every four years.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
