         committee  discharged,  bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and
         recommitted to said committee
       AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating portions  of
         state route 120 in the county of Westchester in memoriam
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding two new sections 343-z
    2  and 343-zz to read as follows:
    3    S 343-Z. PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNATED  AS  THE
    4  "SPECIALIST  ANTHONY N. KALLADEEN MEMORIAL HIGHWAY". ALL THAT PORTION OF
    5  THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION  OF  LAKE  STREET
    6  EAST AND STATE ROUTE ONE HUNDRED TWENTY IN THE TOWN/VILLAGE OF HARRISON,
    7  AND  CONTINUING  IN  A  GENERALLY SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ON STATE ROUTE ONE
    8  HUNDRED TWENTY, AND TERMINATING AT THE  INTERSECTION  OF  ANDERSON  HILL
    9  ROAD AND STATE ROUTE ONE HUNDRED TWENTY IN THE TOWN/VILLAGE OF HARRISON,
   10  SHALL BE DESIGNATED AND BE KNOWN AS THE "SPECIALIST ANTHONY N. KALLADEEN
   11  MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".
   12    S  343-ZZ. PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNATED AS THE
   13  "STAFF SERGEANT KYU HYUK CHAY MEMORIAL  BRIDGE".  THE  BRIDGE  ON  STATE
   14  ROUTE ONE HUNDRED TWENTY WHICH CROSSES THE SAW MILL RIVER PARKWAY IN THE
   15  TOWN  OF  NEW  CASTLE, COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER, SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS THE
   16  "STAFF SERGEANT KYU HYUK CHAY MEMORIAL BRIDGE".
   17    S 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the  instal-
   18  lation  and  maintenance of adequate signage of the state highway system
   19  as designated pursuant to section one of this  act;  provided  that,  to
   20  avoid  any  confusion  and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,
   21  the designations called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be
   22  of ceremonial nature and the official name of such  highway  and  bridge
   23  shall not be changed as a result of this act.
   24    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
