                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the
measure and is not a part of the body thereof subject to
consideration by the Legislative Assembly. It is an editor's
brief statement of the essential features of the measure as
introduced.

  Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Oregon Health
Authority for nutrition programs for eligible individuals through
Women, Infants and Children Program.
  Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2011.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to nutrition; appropriating money; and declaring an
  emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Oregon Health
Authority, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, out of the
General Fund, the amount of $300,000, which may be expended for
the purpose of providing fresh Oregon-grown fruits, vegetables
and cut herbs from farmers' markets and roadside stands to
eligible individuals through the Women, Infants and Children
Program established under ORS 409.600. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1,
2011. + }
