Summary

As introduced, allows a law enforcement officer to petition for a mental health order of protection; requires the court to issue a mental health order of protection order if, after notice and a hearing on the petition, the court finds by clear and convincing evidence that the person poses a substantial likelihood of serious harm to the person's self or others by purchasing or possessing a firearm or ammunition. - Amends TCA Title 33; Title 37; Title 38 and Title 39.
