A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to waiving certain annual training requirements for foster
  parents.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended
  by adding Subsection (p-1) to read as follows:
         (p-1)  The executive commissioner by rule shall create a
  procedure to allow a foster child's caseworker to waive any annual
  training requirement for the child's foster parent that is not
  directly related to caring for the foster child. 
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
