A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the use of forfeited property proceeds by the district
  attorney for the 198th Judicial District.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  (a) If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd
  Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, becomes law, Section 24.377,
  Government Code, as effective September 1, 2011, is amended by
  adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
         (d)  Subsection (c) does not apply to the use of proceeds
  from the sale of forfeited property for the state fiscal year that
  begins September 1, 2011. This subsection expires September 1,
  2013.
         (b)  If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular
  Session, 2011, does not become law, this Act has no effect.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the
  legislative session.
