relating to the use of forfeited property proceeds by the district | ||
attorney for the 198th Judicial District. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. (a) If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd | ||
Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, becomes law, Section 24.377, | ||
Government Code, as effective September 1, 2011, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
(d) Subsection (c) does not apply to the use of proceeds | ||
from the sale of forfeited property for the state fiscal year that | ||
begins September 1, 2011. This subsection expires September 1, | ||
2013. | ||
(b) If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular | ||
Session, 2011, does not become law, this Act has no effect. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | ||
legislative session. |
