| relating to the use of forfeited property proceeds by the district | ||
| attorney for the 198th Judicial District. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. (a) If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd | ||
| Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, becomes law, Section 24.377, | ||
| Government Code, as effective September 1, 2011, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) Subsection (c) does not apply to the use of proceeds | ||
| from the sale of forfeited property for the state fiscal year that | ||
| begins September 1, 2011. This subsection expires September 1, | ||
| 2013. | ||
| (b) If S.B. No. 316, Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular | ||
| Session, 2011, does not become law, this Act has no effect. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | ||
| legislative session. | ||
