R E S O L U T I O N
         
  WHEREAS, Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics is
 
  holding its fourth annual state conference in Round Rock on March
 
  3-4, 2011; and
         
         WHEREAS, Since its founding in 2005, the association has been
 
  dedicated to increasing access to quality health care for the
 
  underserved, offering networking and educational opportunities for
 
  affiliates, and collecting and disseminating information relevant
 
  to its mission; and
         
         WHEREAS, This worthwhile organization assists 60 member
 
  clinics and 5 associate member clinics, which together have more
 
  than 280,000 patient visits each year; often staffed extensively by
 
  volunteers, these vital centers provide a practical alternative to
 
  costly hospital and emergency room care; and
         
         WHEREAS, Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics has
 
  worked to make efficient and effective medical treatment available
 
  to those who may otherwise go without, and its efforts have had a
 
  profound and positive influence on the citizens of Texas; now,
 
  therefore, be it
         
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 
  Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2011, as Lone Star
 
  Association of Charitable Clinics Day and extend to all involved
 
  with the clinics sincere best wishes for continued success with
 
  their important work; and, be it further
         
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 
  House of Representatives.
