| WHEREAS, Nancy Nehring was honored as the Support Person of | ||
| the Year of the Cassie Volunteer Fire Department at the Hill Country | ||
| 100 Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides | ||
| valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year, | ||
| the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace | ||
| officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support | ||
| staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Soon after moving to Granite Hills from Austin in | ||
| 2007, Ms. Nehring became involved with the Cassie VFD, helping with | ||
| the department's computers and its statistical reporting; now | ||
| retired, she divides her time between working with the fire | ||
| department and assisting her husband, Wayne, in his work with the | ||
| Cassie Community Association; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her skill and dedication to duty, Nancy | ||
| Nehring exemplifies the highest ideals of the emergency services | ||
| profession and contributes immeasurably to the safety and | ||
| well-being of her fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Nancy Nehring on her selection as | ||
| the Hill Country 100 Club Support Person of the Year of the Cassie | ||
| Volunteer Fire Department and extend to her sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success with her important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Nehring as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
