Summary
Stop Padding Presidential Pockets Act of 2017 This bill requires that if any of specified persons the U.S. Secret Service is authorized to protect (the President, Vice President, President-elect, Vice President-elect, or their immediate families) travel domestically or internationally in furtherance of the business interests of an entity owned by or controlled by the President, or from which the President receives any financial benefit, such person shall reimburse the Treasury: (1) the amount expended by the Secret Service for such protection, and (2) any amount expended for other costs incurred by the government pertaining to that travel.
