Summary

Punishment for conviction of a Class 1 felony; minors. Provides that a minor convicted of a Class 1 felony, which is punishable by death or life imprisonment, shall be punished as if convicted of a Class 2 felony, which is punishable by imprisonment of 20 years to life. Currently, a minor convicted of a Class 1 felony is sentenced to life imprisonment.
